This Is Dillard Farm
The Dillard Family Jam-Ma-Rie —the family’s annual celebration—was always the weekend following the first full week in July. Jam-Ma-Rie is a mashup of my grandparents’ names —James & Marie. They enjoyed having family, extended family, and friends on the farm.
A Jam-Ma-Rie Wedding
My parents decided to crash the annual family celebration with their wedding. I heard it was a beautiful event, and it paid homage to my grandparents, who were married for 65 years before my grandfather passed away in 1999.
My first visit to Dillard Farm, where my dad was born, was on his birthday. This was a bitter-sweet time since his parents passed away without ever seeing me on the farm.

A lot has happened since… this is me with my dad on Dillard Farm on Father’s Day weekend, 2023. I’ll fill in the gaps later. Stay tuned.
